Doing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) once you have a bachelor’s degree progresses your knowledge of your chosen subjects and advances you to the realm of educating others. Annie Mafunganyika-Ndlovu

Annie Mafunganyika-Ndlovu
Dean of Academics
Currently Annie is the curriculum and content designer for PGCE material, with a specific focus on Child Psychology, General Pedagogy, Information Technology and Languages (English & IsiZulu). She also co-authored a scholarly article for The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning, 2018 Mafunganyika, A., & Nkambule, T. (2018), titled “Exploring and understanding rural teachers’ conceptions of learning and teaching in schools of Acornhoek district, Mpumalanga Province”.
Her truest interests are more like a lifestyle in that she has a deep love of God and church. Annie also loves cooking and baking, running, being outdoors, and dancing.

Thomas’s true passion lies at the intersection of his social entrepreneurial skills, his hands-on teaching experience and big picture, strategic thinking. He is driven by a desire to help solve the teaching crisis on the African continent, and by a vision to transform teaching, learning and leadership in every African classroom. Thomas is responsible for co-founding and leading Instill Education, and specifically Instill’s PGCE degrees programme, to include new business and partnership development, financial management, HR, marketing and execution of Instill’s education strategy.
He is fluent in several languages including French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. He has a keen wanderlust for traveling (especially by bike), scuba and freediving, cooking, photography and skiing.

Shemanne has served as a teacher and special education liaison in the DeKalb County School System. She has also made significant contributions to civic and community service, including serving as a patron and fundraiser for the Royal Kindergarten Shashamane in Ethiopia, and being a member of the Historical Society and Education Ministry Committee at Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia.
Today, Shemanne is the Chief Learning Officer at Instill Education, where she designs various programmes aimed at building up leaders in the teaching space. She also develops curricula, coordinates dean onboarding and development, designs student support and development programmes, all with the aim of developing high-quality teaching and leadership skills for South Africa’s education space.
She adores random trips involving mountains and oceans, scouting exciting travel deals on the African continent, and finding innovative ways to invest in people as she goes.

Venessa Geswindt

Venessa has also developed and facilitated professional coaching courses to support instructional leadership for teachers and school leaders. Since January 2022, she has been responsible for developing online modules for an 18-month School Leadership Development Pilot Programme currently being run in one of the Gauteng school districts. This programme focuses on three core competencies: School Culture, Instructional Leadership, and Data-driven Decision-Making and is delivered in a flipped classroom style.
Venessa enjoys active family hikes and long walks on the beach. She unwinds by losing herself in a good book and mindfully crocheting gifts of love for family and friends.

Pamela Mubviri

Pamela Mubviri
Lecturer
Pamela is proficient in teaching primary and high school students in South Africa and has experience lecturing student teachers in Assessment, Becoming a Teacher, and Primary School Maths. Her research focus is on inclusive and primary school mathematics. Her current role is as teaching faculty at Instill Education, specialising in curriculum design for in-service and pre-service teachers, and leading Teacher Induction sessions for first-year teachers.
Teacher training and the education of the young child is Pamela’s true passion. Outside of this, she keeps fit by taking long leisurely walks to relax, and cherishes the time she spends with her loved ones.

At Instill Education, Camagwini wears many hats. She is a lecturer, a curriculum designer and a faculty academic member, utilising her experience as a teacher and teacher coach to design PGCE and Foundation Phase modules for both in-service and student teachers. She has also facilitated online and in-person teacher clinics for student teachers.
Camagwini’s hobbies include listening to music, traveling and reading people's energy from their horoscopes.

Princess’s main desire is to contribute to the education profession by assisting student teachers to reach their full potential as future teachers in the Foundation Phase classrooms. She has vast experience in the Literacy, Numeracy, and Life Skills Foundation Phase modules. Through identifying gaps in student teachers’ understanding, her support and guidance will ensure these student teachers will be the very best educators they can be when they complete their training with Instill.
Reading has been a favourite hobby since Princess’s childhood, which she finds to be a calming pursuit. Princess also likes to feel grounded by gardening and staying in touch with nature.

His past experience includes roles as an Examinations Manager at the South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), with overall responsibility for the setting, planning, administration and project management of examinations.
Colyn’s current role at Instill allows him to collaborate with the campus Student Recruitment Team to evaluate student admissions against the set admission criteria, determines conditions associated with student admission and follows up on them thereafter, works with the Finance department on finance related issues of admission, and ensures overall admission compliance for the campus.
A lover of all things musical and lighthearted, Colyn unwinds by listening to music and breaking out into dance with his children.

Nelisiwe Ngcobo

Nelisiwe’s responsibilities at Instill involve collaborating with administrative and academic staff to ensure seamless service delivery across the student lifecycle, and as a key advocate for student concerns within the campus senior leadership team. She provides leadership and direction to both the student administration unit and the campus senior leadership team. She has taken several courses that assist her in being a source of comfort for students, such as How to Deal with Gender Based Violence, Bereavement Counseling and Working with Trauma.
Playing netball and sharing her skills with younger netball players is something that Nelisiwe really enjoys. Her interests include travel, primarily to African destinations, share buying and investments. Currently she has a keen interest in student property investments and can be found listening to podcasts on financial wellness.

Greg Lazorik

In his role at Instill Education, Greg assists the Dean of Campus Operations in developing, implementing and maintaining efficient processes and procedures for the operations team, and serves as a centralised knowledge expert on operations and schedules. Greg has developed and refined his management, coordination and planning, data management, systems, technical support and campus operations skills to become an invaluable member of the Instill team.
He is an outgoing and active individual. His interests lie in carpentry and DIY projects, looking for investment opportunities, farming and raising animals.
Provisionally registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training until 31 December 2025 as a private higher education institution under the Act. Registration certificate No. 2022/HE07/006
